Independence Day Celebrated at DIC

DIC celebrated 49th Independence Day recalling the millions who laid down their lives to free the country from Pakistani occupation. The program started with recitation from Holy Quran followed by National Anthem, discussion, and cultural events. Teachers and the students participated in the cultural events wearing red and green outfits. To commemorate the heroes who embraced martyrdom in the Liberation war, Principal Lt. Col. Md Zahirul Islam (Retd) recited the poem “Batashe Lasher Gondho” written by Roudra Mohammad Shahidullah which enhanced the gravity of the program.
